Points of LED light bulb
Points of LED light bulb Point of LED light bulb 1 Color rendering index

There are lots of people who think vegetables and fruits look different under the sunshine compared to looking them under the fluorescent light. If you look at them under the sunshine, you can see real color of the ingredients. Those ingredients look colorful and delicious under the sunshine.
On the other hand, the ingredients look close to blue if you look at them under the artificial light such as fluorescent. With this condition, they look close to red under orange light.
“Color rendering index” is reference index to see if the object under the light looks same as the one under the sunshine. Maximum point is 100. If number is close to 100, it means the light is close to sunshine. If number is lower, the object does not look its natural color.
Ra=Color rendering index gives you the idea if the object looks its natural color under the artificial light. If the number is close to 100, all the ingredients look delicious with their natural color.
Please check the number of “Ra”. Thought general lights has Ra80, GEOlight has more than Ra90.
※In case of warm white

GEOlight warm white

GEOlight-lit plant.

Because it is close to sunshine, it seems like to be looked outside.

Certain LED light bulb

Because of low color rendering index, it looks a bit yellow and unnatural.

Points of LED light bulb 2 Power Factor

All the LED light devices have transformer. Although power consumption of LED light bulb itself is 7W, there are some cases that more than 7W current is needed when supplying power through transformer. “PF=Power Factor” is reference index to see if the device is actually saving cost or not.
If power factor is close to 1, it means high efficiency. Lower power factor is low efficiency and not saving cost.
For example, you need double current if you want to make power factor 1 from 0.5.
Even if you see low power consumption, you still need to think about power factor for saving energy.

Please check power factor. GEOlight has more than 0.9PF.

If there is no indication of power factor, you can calculate it by the calculation below.

Indicated power /(input current * voltage)=【power factor】

※power consumption is the number shown by W"watt".
※input current is the number shown by A"ampere".
※voltage is the number shown by V"voltage".
